The Coral Reef Scarf by Lisa Hannes boasts a beautiful traveling rib motif created with simple but foundational knitting techniques. With this scarf as the framework, you will learn how to increase and decrease, work from a charted pattern, and proper finishing techniques.

Pattern must be purchased directly from from the designer. This class will be taught by Retail Manager Talia Weaver.

Necessary Skills:

  • Casting on
  • Knitting and purling

You will learn:

  • Increasing and decreasing
  • Working from charts
  • Weaving in ends
  • Blocking

Materials:

  • Printed Pattern
  • US 7 (4.5 mm) Needles
  • Removable stitch markers
  • 444 yds DK Weight yarn

Scout will be available to purchase for 10% off before and during class

Homework:Arrive at the first class with 24 rows of ribbing (as indicated by the pattern).

Kate and Courtney met while working in a local yarn store in Philadelphia, PA; Courtney was a new mom and Kate was in her final year of grad school. Together they founded Kelbourne Woolens at Kate's kitchen table, and have been working side by side ever since.
