We are a small women-owned wholesale and retail yarn company located in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia specializing in boutique yarns and patterns for handknitting and crochet enthusiasts.

Owners and founders Courtney Kelley and Kate Osborn are involved in managing all day-to-day aspects of the business alongside their brilliant office and warehouse staff. The small team works hard to provide stellar customer experience, both locally and online.

Retail Sales Lead - hiring now!

Role: Retail Sales Lead

Reports to: Executive team Kate Osborn and Courtney Kelley

Pay range: $18–22/hour based on knowledge of the craft and experience. No degree required.

This is a retail sales and e-commerce fulfillment position, requiring 40 hours per week Tuesday–Saturday.

Job Summary:
The Retail Sales Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the online and brick-and-mortar retail shop. The candidate should be very comfortable in a customer facing retail role, providing technical knitting and crochet customer support both online and in-store, with the ability to take the lead on sales merchandising and customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:
E-Commerce:
• Prepare and ship ecommerce orders using Shopify and Shipstation.
• Maintain the shop email inbox.
• Provide feedback to the team regarding customer experience.

In-Store Retail
• Provide customer support, including finding patterns and yarn for customer projects, help with fixing pattern issues and project mistakes, and providing a welcoming and friendly store atmosphere.
• Manage and maintain shop merchandising and displays.
• Assist in the promotion of in-store events and workshops.
• Maintain a clean and orderly shop.
• Create swatches, knit/crochet shop samples, and design patterns as desired and time permits.

Candidate Essentials:
Excellent customer service skills with an ability to engage and work with a diverse range of customers.
Strong knowledge of knitting and crochet and the ability to work with customers to help with questions and projects.
Attention to detail, and adhere to brand guidelines in both writing and visual communications.
Excellent communication skills with ability to voice opinions and hear constructive feedback.
Ability to work closely and collaboratively with a small team with kindness, enthusiasm, and flexibility in order to prioritize best outcomes for the company as a whole.
Highly organized and able to work within and improve upon office-wide cloud storage file sharing systems and related media storage.

Marketing Coordinator - hiring now!

Role: Marketing Coordinator

Reports to: Executive team Kate Osborn and Courtney Kelley

Pay range: $20–25/hour based on knowledge of the craft and social media/marketing experience.

This is a marketing content creation/implementation position, requiring 32–40 hours per week Monday–Friday.

Job Summary:
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for assisting the team with developing and implementing digital marketing strategies across social media platforms, newsletters, and websites in order to grow brand awareness, and retail sales.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to facilitate and implement a coordinated marketing calendar with input from the product development, design, and operations team to enhance our communications to stakeholders (retailers, sales team, consumers, and industry
influencers). This role works most closely with Kate Osborn, who oversees our creative direction, and Courtney Kelley, the operations director.

Job Responsibilities:
Social Media Marketing:
• Collaborate weekly to organize the social calendar based on upcoming promotions.
• Prepare photos, graphics and videos, write copy and collect resources to post across all platforms via Later under supervision of the creative director.
• Provide supervision and guidance for overall social media strategy.
• Respond to questions, comments, messages, and other forms of engagement on social media platforms.
• Ad creation on Meta related to seasonal promotions, new products, brand awareness.
• Share social media reports with insights and analysis and provide recommendations.
• Awareness of and collaboration with designers that are a good fit for the brand.
• Audience building through lead magnets, promotional campaigns, and organic social strategy.

Email Marketing:
• Assist in creation of email campaigns for retail and wholesale segments, including copy writing, graphic design, resource materials, and audience management.
• Organization and maintenance of retargeting campaigns in Klayvio, including creation of welcome email flows using existing content and downloadables.
• Curating email campaigns in coordination with social and promotional calendar.
• Provide reports with insights and analysis, and provide recommendations.

Candidate Essentials:
Creative vision with the ability to create and implement storytelling through strong graphic design and video production skills to support brand goals.
Understanding of craft trends to create technical and in-depth video and graphic content and support for our enthusiastic and loyal customer base.
Attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to brand guidelines in both writing and visual communications.
Excellent communication and copywriting skills with ability to voice opinions and hear constructive feedback.
Ability to work closely and collaboratively with a small team with kindness, enthusiasm, and flexibility in order to prioritize best outcomes for the company as a whole.
Highly organized and able to work within and improve upon office-wide cloud storage file sharing systems and related media storage.
Familiarity with programs including G Suite, Klaviyo, Dropbox, Slack, Shopify, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Later, and YouTube.
