Description
Perennial is a quirky blend of vibrantly dyed superwash merino wool, super silky and soft Suri alpaca, and just a touch of nylon for added strength and durability. The blend creates a soft and strong yarn that is a modern take on an easy-care superwash staple. Perennial can be machine washed, but should be dried flat. It's perfect for shawls, garments, socks, and fun baby and kid knits - anything your needles or hooks can imagine!
Pair Perennial with your favorite hand-dyed yarn for a colorwork dream that can stretch a budget. You can knit it held single or double it to get a super squishy DK weight. There's a reason we call it Perennial - it's long lasting, and you'll keep returning to it again and again!

from 162 reviewsI cannot get enough of this yarn. I am nearly finished a sweater in the beautiful deep blue color. Currently, I am knitting a sweater (all stockinette) using the Ocean color with trim in Fog. I cannot say enough about the color and feel of Ocean. I am taking my time with this project because I love the beauty of Ocean.
Thrilled, as always, to get my purchase. I know I am getting the highest quality merchandise. Just wish I had more money to spend at Kelbourne!
I’m delighted with my Scout yarn. It is so pleasing to handle and looks really nice in the pattern I’m knitting. My order came promptly.
Cricket is the perfect yarn for color work
This yarn is incredible and everything I hoped it would be! Gorgeous color and lovely feel.
This yarn was pleasantly wonderful to work with. It holds stitch definition extremely well and it made my cables pop. I’m using it to do a cardigan and I’m loving every moment. The colors are so dimensional, even though it is a solid color there are flex of different colors in it that complement it very well. I can’t wait to wear this cause I know it will go with a lot of my outfits! I highly recommend this yarn to anyone and I myself will purchase more of it
I’m delighted with this yarn and am really enjoying working with it! It’s slightly rustic but not at all itchy. It knits up beautifully and I can tell that the sweater I’m knitting will last for many years!
I purchased this yarn to make the Douglas cardigan by Andrea Mowry. So far I'm loving it!
I've used Harmony twice for sweaters, carrying along with Germantown Bulky & Lucky Tweed. It adds a lovely depth of color and a touch of sheen with the silk, blooms beautifully when blocked, and helps to build a cohesive fabric - fills in any mistakes subtly - like picking up at saddle shoulders, etc. Will continue to return to this base for all my mohair needs :)
I don’t knit with Bulky weight usually, but wanted to make some heavier shawls to throw on in winter. Germantown Bulky was an affordable choice and I like the consistency of yarn thickness throughout. The fact that it’s 100% American makes it stand out in these days of shifting tariff rates.
This is my new go-to yarn!! The fiber is perfect and it is such a joy to work with. I'll be getting more for sure.
The service was great! I received my order within a few days. And the yarn is beautiful 😍
Running out of Skipper year for a long-haul project, I stopped in to kelbourne and was delighted with the service, range of materials, and colors. The shop is a yarn paradise.
I love this hat and yarn. It is squishy soft and a beautiful color.
I just finished, and it is so beautiful. The yarn is soft. The pattern is so unique-I learned several new things. This is the third sweater I’ve made from Kelbourne, and they all turned out well.
