This blanket is worked back in forth in a deep chevron stitch. Maintain the chevron stripe pattern throughout, even during the Stripe Pattern sequence. Each peak is made up of 9 single crochet on either side, 3 single crochet in the top of the peak, and 2 skipped stitches in each valley. In order to create a smooth edge, you will skip 2 stitches at the end of the row and work the final single crochet into the chain from the row below. This may be slightly different than you’re used to doing, but the end result creates a nice, clean edge and is well worth it!

Each ridge is created by working Rows 1 and 2. If helpful, place a removable stitch marker in the 2nd single crochet of each 3 single crochet increase to mark the top of the peaks, and in-between the skip 2 valleys.
