The Banned Wagon came to Philadelphia in the fall of '25! A mobile library from Penguin Random House, this truck full of banned books was on tour October 5–11 during Banned Book Week. The project raises awareness about censorship and celebrates the freedom to read.This year’s route focuses on just two cities—Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.—chosen for their central role in American democracy. At each stop, visitors can browse 30 challenged titles, pick up free copies (while supplies last), and even spark more donations by scanning the QR code on the truck. Learn more here!

City of Elderly Love, a local senior pet rescue, is hosted a tattoo flash fun-draiser on March 8! Join them at the CO Lab in Glenside, Pennsylvania between 12 and 6 p.m. for tattoos, raffles, and of
course, cute adoptable senior pets. Admission to the event is free!

Many of you may know (virtually or IRL) Jaime Jennings, one of the founders of Fancy Tiger Crafts. She now works for the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, an organization that advocates in congress for public lands, builds and maintains trails, and elevates gateway communities.

We hosted a food drive at our brick-and-mortar shop in Philadelphia, to support our community via the Germantown Community Fridge during the SNAP funding crisis. We're proud to be a certified drop off location in 2026 and will be making weekly donations to the 20 W Armat St location.

A plane crash in NE Philly on January 31st, 2025, claimed all the lives onboard and left others severely injured. 

We are sharing GoFundMe for 9-year-old Ramsses, who was badly hurt and lost his father in the accident. 10-year-old Andre Howard was also seriously injured as he attempted to shield his 4-year-old sister from the blast—and now faces a long and difficult road to recovery.
