The Lily of the Valley Shawl is knit in one piece from the center out. After working the Set-Up, the shawl is worked from a Body Chart. Once the body is complete, the body stitches are left live on the needles to work the knit–on lace edging.
You will increase at the edges on every row, and in the center on every other row. When working the edging, you will be knitting together one edging stitch with one stitch from the body at the end of each even numbered row.
