Green Mountain Spinnery is a natural fiber mill in Putney, Vermont. Since 1981, the Green Mountain Spinnery worker-owned co-operative have been designing and producing richly colored, classic yarns which are sustainable from farm to needle. Their mission is creating high quality yarn that sustains sheep farming in the New England region using environmentally sound practices. All their natural fiber products are produced in the USA, with most fibers purchased directly from individual growers. The Green Mountain Spinnery uses no chemicals to bleach, moth-proof or shrink-proof yarns.
