Portage is worked in the round from the bottom up. After working a deep ribbed brim, the body is worked from charts. Integrated increases are incorporated into the cable and rib pattern. Integrated decreases shape the crown; change to double pointed needles when the circumference of the hat is to small to fit on the circular needle.
