Year of Mittens: June Mittens

The June Mittens are here, and this design is definitely my favorite pair thus far! The June Mittens feature stranded colorwork and showcase a nice variety of banded and all-over patterns. The mittens begin with a provisional cast on, followed by a folded cuff, then the body of is worked in a series of geometric colorwork patterns.

Much like the Bohus mittens we published in May, the June Mittens use a larger amount of the main color and smaller quantities of three contrast colors. We are also providing two totally different colorway options for you with both charts included in the pattern. The mittens use approximately 20 grams of CC1, and 10 grams each of CC2 and CC3, so they are perfect for using up any leftovers you may have.

I really love how drastically different the mittens are in the individual colorways. The neutral and pink pair seems so bold and modern to me, while the brown, yellow, and teal pair are so deliciously 70's!
