Hi there! It's me, marketing manager Bailey! I'm excited to share my latest finished object with you: Scarf No. 1 by My Favourite Things Knitwear, knit with Germantown DK in the color 850 orange.

In March, I brought home a basset hound puppy named Norma. Although very cute, puppies are a ton of work, and all of my WIPs were quickly neglected upon her arrival. After nearly a month of zero finished objects, I decided I must find something simple, quick, and satisfying to cast on before my knitting mojo disappeared for good.

Before I committed to a pattern, I decided to use our newest yarn, Germantown DK. I'm a big fan of this yarn—the history behind our Germantown line, the fact that it's 100% made in the USA, and of course the fantastic stitch definition we know and love from Germantown but at a lighter weight for spring.
I trolled Ravelry for a few days to find something easy and satisfying. I love garter stitch, and even more so bandanas and mini-shawls. When I found Scarf No. 1, I was gravitated to the garter stripes and the simple lace sections in-between. I decided to knit the smaller of the two sizes included in the pattern.
This project took me just a few days to complete, and I'm thrilled with the result! It's so soft, and although 100% wool, doesn't feel overly heavy for spring and summer. I picture styling this as a neck bandana like I have above, and possibly in my hair when the weather cools down this fall. Who knows, maybe Norma will wear it too! ;)
