Introducing: The Catalina Tank!

The first of four patterns in our new Tanguis cotton, Skipper, Catalina is the quintessential summer tank. It has a classic fit, perfect for pairing with a flowy skirt of a pair of cute shorts. Make is season spanning by using it year round as a layering peice as well! You can layer your handknits with this cute tank by wearing it under a cozy cardigan. We bet you can't knit just one! This piece is a re-knit of a pattern originally published in Twist Collective, called Haden. The design was updated to create more ease in the body, while maintaining a tight ribbing at the bottom to create a casual blousey look. Catalina is worked in pieces from the bottom up. The button plackets are picked up on the right and left side of the neck opening and worked back and forth in a 1x1 Rib, then sewn together at the base of the front neck. SKILLS Mattress stitch, picking up stitches, short row shaping. You'll quickly notice we did something a little different with the Skipper Collection shoot. Since we only ever design things we'd happily wear, it was a no brainer to finally put ourselves in front of the camera this time around to show you more of our core styles and personalities. Each design was photographed on the designer (in this case, Courtney in her Catalina), with two different outfits - a "real-life" Style It, if you will. While we're not changing our day jobs any time soon, we had a lot of fun with the shoot and hope you enjoy it!
