Introducing Cordelia

The final pattern From the Skipper Collection is here! Replace your old worn out t-shirt with this classic, comfortable, and casual knit! Small details like fully fashioned shoulder shaping, garter stitch at the cuffs, neck, and hem, and tubular bind offs elevate this basic top beyond the ordinary. A little different than Kate's typical construction, Cordelia is worked flat in pieces from the top down. Stitches are cast on for the back neck, increases are worked to create the shoulders, then the body is worked straight to the hem. Stitches are picked up at the shoulders for the front, increases are worked to shape the neck, and once the left and right fronts are joined, it is worked straight to the hem to match the back. Stitches are picked up to work the sleeves back and forth in short rows, and then in the round for the cuff. The body is seamed using mattress stitch and, lastly, stitches are picked up to work the neck. All edges use a tubular bind off for a lovely, professional looking finish. We hope you enjoyed our debut (and, most likely, our finale) as models for this collection! We had another shoot yesterday for some upcoming designs and definitely enjoyed spending time back behind the camera again!
