Designer Feature: Judoka by Lia Moya

Among the many changes around Kelbourne Woolens this year, one of the exciting new additions to the products we're offering the N. American market is BC Garn, a line of quality, affordable yarns originally from Denmark. We started off last season with six yarns, one of which is BC Garn Alba, a GOTS certified organic cotton in the perfect summery fingering weight. We'll be sharing more about GOTS certified products (as well as the process we went through to obtain certification ourselves - something we're incredibly happy about and proud of! - later in the season) but if you're interested in hearing more about this certification, you can read about it here. The latest issue of Pom Pom Quarterly came out this week, and in it is a lovely project bag, Judoka by Lia Moya, designed in the style of traditional Japanese Bento bags. Knit using BC Garn Alba, I could see making a bunch of these for use this summer - as project bags, lunch bags, beach bags, or even a place to keep Lucy's toys and snacks when we go on walks. Designed in three sizes in modern stripe sequences, the color and design possibilities are endless! The whole issue is particularly lovely - I'm always really impressed with how well Pom Pom does summer knitting - so be sure to check out all of the designs here!
