Kelso is a cotton and linen blend tank top, knit in pieces from the bottom up. The front of this sleeveless sweater features a simple decorative eyelet panel and the shoulders at the front and back are shaped with increases and then short rows are worked for a nice fit. This is a fun knitting project for a beginner who is ready to learn new skills, like simple eyelet lace and knitted short rows.
After blocking, the shoulders are joined with a three needle bind off and the sides are seamed using mattress stitch. Stitches are picked up to work the armholes and neck in a one-by-one ribbing.
