I brought up a recently finished project to wear and photograph, a remake of almost 10 year old design (gah), Baby Jane, knit in Germantown DK in the most delightfully cheery color, Highlighter Yellow. The heat kept me from being able to put it to use, but we did manage to take some quick shots before heading home.
The only change I made to the original pattern was to work the ribbing twice as long so the brim could fold up while still maintaining the slouch I desired.
The Germantown DK makes the most perfect hat fabric - it is bouncy and squishy and has great stitch definition. We have some very exciting plans for the the yarn (and hats!) in 2026, so I am looking forward to many more delightful DK hats in the near future!
