Germantown Colors: 105 natural

Germantown is a classic American made yarn. In fact, it is a revival of the very first commercial American yarn! This 100% North American non-superwash worsted weight wool is spun and dyed in North Carolina. Germantown is known for its softness, bounce, stitch definition, and wide range of vibrant colors perfect for both traditional and modern projects.

An icon of American craft, Germantown was developed in Philadelphia in the early 1800s. Synonymous with a good quality worsted yarn, Germantown is 100% grown and manufactured in the USA. We are proud to be a part of Germantown's long history of American crafting.

the most fun yarn I've knitted with in a long time

I love it, it is the most fun yarn I've knitted with in a long time. It is bouncy and stretchy and makes a lovely fabric. And it does not split!

Great basic!

I love this stuff. I have been knitting with it for several years now. The wide range of colors and reliable quality make it my go-to pick for knitting up basic gifts. The 100% wool content means that the time invested in your project will pay off -- even the most simple item looks lovely. The price is also reasonable and the yardage is generous! I use this, as an example, to knit up baby gifts for members of my work team who have children . . . and in any given year, that can be a lot of baby hats and sweaters! Highly recommend.

The One

This is the one I've been looking for - substantial but kind to the skin. Knits colorwork or cables with nice definition. And finally, it DOESN'T PILL. I have, of late, knit with some other yarns, quite nice and expensive, been very pleased with the final product, and then three or four wearings later...crap...the dreaded pilling. I've knit three sweaters in Germantown and they wear like a dream. I even exercise in one and the underarm area has held up spectacularly. 5 out 5 stars. Would recommend.
