This intricate lace beret is worked in the round from the bottom up. After working a knit 1, purl 1 ribbing, increases are worked for the body. The body and crown of the hat is worked from a chart. While the pattern looks complicated, the lace pattern repeats and is easy to follow once established. When working the crown decreases, change to double pointed needles when the body circumference is too small to work on the circular.
