Finished Project: Dandelion Cardigan in Misha & Puff

I was lucky enough to marry into a large family brimming with cousins. My husband Owen is smack in the middle, so we've experienced a lot of milestones together, including the births of new generations of babies whose parents were still in preschool when we first met!

This fall brought a new cousin (once removed) to the family, and I really wanted to make a new sweater for the wee little lass. I decided on the Dandelion Sweater from our recently released Skipper Collection, but instead of using Skipper, I opted to go for Studio Misha & Puff in a very girly pink, Faded Rose.

I cast on the sweater well in time for the baby's arrival, but *gestures broadly* here we are, and the babe is now going on 2 months old. I'm telling myself that 1) no baby needs a merino wool sweater in mid-September, 2) now that the initial hullabaloo has settled, what parents wouldn't want a sweet little gift as month 3 looms to remind them what a stellar job they're doing at raising a newborn?, and 3) although the sweater looks impossibly tiny, it is probably too big for her even now!

The Studio Misha & Puff looks great in the Dandelion Stitch, and the subtle hand dyed color creates a really lovely all-over depth that doesn't distract from the design.

There is another new baby recently born into the family, so now I need to decide what to make him (and fast)!
