Manny Manatee Crochet Pattern
Manny Manatee Crochet Pattern
Manny the Manatee is a sweet faced chonky critter topped with with delightful algae hearts. Did you know: Manatees are the only vegetarian marine mammals!
The underside of Manny is worked in turned rows, and then an edging is created around the entire perimeter with single crochet. The topside is worked next in turned rows, and edged with single crochet in the same manner. The Topside is stitched to Underside around all edges, stuffing before complete. Nose begins with each nostril and is worked in the round in two sections. Both sections of nose are joined together and worked in the round. Nose is stuffed and stitched to head. Eyelids are worked in the round, and stitched to head. Heart-Algae spots are made separately and stitched to the body.
Eyes are made with stacked buttons. Make sure the buttons you select have the same number of holes. La Mode style #46868 and #20730 are used in the sample.
