Free Pattern: Holiday Cheer Ornaments

Our daughter Charlie is at the age where she’s really starting to “get” holidays. Easter and Christmas are current favorites, but what we enjoy most is hanging out together, decorating the tree – it is much more fun with a four-year-old as stylist! – baking cookies, and hanging twinkly lights in preparation for the day.

After picking out a tree last weekend, we opened up our box of decorations and I found one of the knit ornaments I made about 10 years ago and gave as small gifts to our extended family. Remembering how fast, fun, and simple they were to make, I quickly set out to make a new set for our tree for Charlie to enjoy.

The end result is a gift to my family, but also a gift to you – a free PDF download with instructions for 3 different ornaments worked up in Kelbourne Woolens Camper fingering weight yarn. Each style comes with two alternate options, from stripes, to cables, to embroidery.
