Ballard Hat Pattern
Ballard Hat Pattern
Ballard is a classic colorwork unisex hat designed by Kate Gagnon Osborn in our DK weight beloved wool yarn, Scout. Ballard is worked in the round from the bottom up. Once the brim is complete, increased are worked and the body of the hat is worked in stranded colorwork from a chart. Integrated decreases shape the crown and you will change to double pointed needles when the circumference of the hat is too small to fit on the circular needle.
An alternate chart is provided if the colors you choose to use do not match those as given in the pattern.
