Mojave Colors: 025 slate gray

Our love of cellulose-based fibers led to the development of Mojave. It is a versatile sport to DK weight yarn, consisting of five sets of very fine 2-plys. The result is a lightweight yarn that is strong and smooth with great stitch definition. This pima cotton and linen blend is as pleasant to knit with as it is to wear, and, as a bonus, it can be machine-washed!

Born from a passion for seasonless cellulose-based fibers, Mojave is a sport to DK weight yarn composed of five sets of finely spun 2-plys. This unique construction produces a lightweight yet robust yarn, ensuring excellent stitch definition. Crafted from a blend of super soft pima cotton and natural linen, Mojave is a joy to knit and delightful to wear. Its versatility extends to easy machine-washing, making it a practical choice for a variety of projects. Experience the perfect marriage of strength and softness with Mojave, the ideal companion for your summer creations.

Mojave but I’ve also used Andorra, which I love!

Your yarns are lovely to knit with. I’ll be back !

Great quality yarn, please wind by default!

I bought 3 skeins from Apricot Yarns website which has a big button that says “Would you like your yarn wound” before realizing I’d need more for a project. Somehow found myself on the Kelbourne site direct and while the yarn is absolutely beautiful and I will look to Kelbourne again for future projects, I was pretty dismayed to see that the yarn came in a hank. I don’t have any independent yarn stores nearby and had to hand wind…which went poorly lol. Please make it more obvious how to select winding or consider winding by default. My top the Summer Stream tee which is a free pattern from For The Frills.

Hi Alexandra! Thank you for the feedback, we do appreciate it! We have talked about offering a winding service before, but right now we just don't have the staff to manage the requests. Hopefully we will be able to add that service soon! I hope that you otherwise enjoyed your yarn! Thanks again for your purchase!

Absolutely beautiful yarn - soft to the feel and gorgeous color. Can’t wait to cast on!

Mojave Cotton and Linen

Am in the process of making a sweater of my own design...rather simple; garter stitch, long sleeve with drop shoulder. Am doing it on size 3 needles, so it is taking awhile. I chose this yarn for it's fiber combination...I like cotton and linen together. I like the feel of the fabric once it is knitted (or crocheted or woven). Am enjoying working with this yarn, and look forward to wearing the sweater, once it is completed.

Made by knitters, for knitters
