Local Yarn Store Day: Adventura Shawl by Laura Nelkin

Local Yarn Store Day is a shop appreciation day created by TNNA Yarn Group. The first annual LYS Day will take place on April 21 and is designed to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of knitters, crocheters, weavers and spinners to drive awareness and celebrate the craft. We have teamed up with friend Laura Nelkin to create Adventura, a choose-you-own adventure shawl featuring Kelbourne Woolens Andorra. From Laura: Adventura is a choose your own shawl adventure: All three versions of Adventura start the same - with a neutral color knitting up a simple boomerang shape. You then work a few transition garter rows, and it is time to begin your journey. There is a skill level for everyone, from the most basic beginner knitter to a knitter craving more of a challenge. Adventura has three design options, and 2 sizes... so lots of possibilities to play! The Adventura pattern is only available through Ravelry in-store sales at a local yarn shop starting April 21st. Laura set up a thread for an Adventura KAL in her Ravelry Group. It is a great place to find out more information about Local Yarn Store day and ask any questions you may have about getting your Adventura pattern. On April 21st, we'll be participating in a KAL - the hardest part will be choosing which colors and pattern to use! Click here to find a participating Local Yarn Store!
