The third design in the Year of Gifts, the Shamrock Cowl is a squishy garter and cable cowl designed using Lucky Tweed. This cosy heavily textured cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up. Designed with two sizes, you may either work a close fitting cowl perfect for staving off the chill, or a wider one that makes for a functional and cute accessory! As a bonus, the cowl is reversible and shown as knit on the first page of the pattern with the cables more subtle, and “inside out” on the last with the knit columns popping – choose whichever side you prefer!
The cable pattern is written out and worked from a chart. If this is your first time working from a chart, we highly encourage you to try it out! Charts are a visual representation of your knitting, they help you “see” what you are doing, and are easy to follow once you get the hang of it!
Kit Includes:
• 1 skein of Lucky Tweed in pine
• Custom printed gridded notebook
• 3 pencils
• Cable needles in 3 sizes
• "Kelbourne Woolens" logo sticker
• Postcard with code to download the pattern (Shamrock Cowl) for free
• Screen printed project bag

Made by knitters, for knitters

Kate and Courtney met while working in a local yarn store in Philadelphia, PA; Courtney was a new mom and Kate was in her final year of grad school. Together they founded Kelbourne Woolens at Kate's kitchen table, and have been working side by side ever since.
