This hat begins at the brim, and a K2, P2 Ribbing is worked. Once the ribbing is complete, increases are worked, and the body is knit in an all over cable pattern from a chart. When working the brim ribbing, make sure to follow the stitch pattern as listed, as it is important for the chart to line up properly.

When working from the Body Chart on Rnd 13, and the Decrease Chart on Rnd 3, you will need to remove and replace the locking EOR marker in order to work the final C2/2L. If you choose to place markers identifying the pattern repeat, you will need to remove and replace each marker in order to work the C2/2L that the marker divides.
