Style It
At Kelbourne we often talk about how Andorra is under-appreciated; it's soft but not too soft, easy to knit with, and has a great color palette. Since I started at here, we have introduced many new colors of Andorra, and they're some of my favorites. The Andorra collection is BEAUTIFUL, and every time I pack the samples up to send to
our shops for a trunk show, I dream of the garments in some of the new colors. Last week, Kate and I decided it was time to make this dream a reality. We've recolored three of the
Andorra Collection garments, and put together a few styling options in the hope it gives you some knitting inspiration as we head into the fall months!
Delia by Kate Gagnon Osborn
First up we have the
Delia hat in Boysenberry and Dijon. We love seeing this hat in rich fall colors.
Since the original styling for the collection really played up the feminine, vintage color palette with velvet layers, flowy dresses, and fine fabrics, Kate took a more sporty and casual approach with her styling. For Delia, she went with a full autumn feeling - complete with the world's best treat, the apple cider doughnut.
Phyllis by Courtney Kelley
Next up is Phyllis, a very Courtney sweater. Here it is reimagined in Stone and Peacock. We love how it takes on more of a "vest" look in these sportswear colors.
Kate kept the feminine look of the lace vest, pairing it with a midi skirt, but added more casual accessories like sneakers
Bernadette by Kate Gagnon Osborn
And last but certainly not least (it is my favorite piece in the collection) the Bernadette sweater. We put in our two favorite colors from the most recent round of new Andorra colors: Caramel and Sage.
Kate went a little trendy with the styling on this one (or as trendy as she gets), with wide leg jeans, claw clip, and color blocked purse.
Do you have a favorite Andorra color? Which pattern from the Andorra Collection would you knit first?
