What began as an idea for a stand alone narwhal back in 2020 morphed into a delightful collection of creatures by Brenda K. B. Anderson.
Fast forward a few years (cough, pandemic, cough), we are delighted to finally share four of our favorite oceanic critters with you:
Herman the Hermit Crab,
Manny the Manatee,
Norbert the Narwhal, and
Pollyanna the Pufferfish!
New to crochet or amigurumi? No worries! Each
individual pattern is written with U.S. crochet terminology with the beginner to intermediate crocheter in mind. Carefully tech edited, proofread, and tested, the individual components are broken down into bite sized pieces. Additionally, images are provided in the PDFs to help with any complicated finishing steps.
Brenda designed the critters using Kelbourne Woolens Germantown, our 100% U.S. sourced and spun worsted weight wool. The critters are worked using simple crochet stitches, with carefully placed increases and decreases to create their shape. Perfect for crochet and amigurumi, Germantown is strong, has great stitch definition, and when worked at a nice dense gauge and stuffed, the critters really hold their shape!
Through the end of the day on 2.13, enjoy 20% off each critter pattern on Ravelry and our website - no coupon needed!
We hope you love the critters as much as we do!
