What’s better than a free hat pattern? 12 more free hat patterns! Our popular Year of Hats is back, featuring Germantown DK. April's design is Oberon by Kate Gagnon Osborn. This lovely cabled hat begins with a tubular cast on followed by deep 1 x 1 ribbing. The body is worked in a classic 4 stitch cable and garter pattern and integrated decreases shape the crown. Fully charted, the stitch pattern is easy to memorize and makes for a great project to practice cabling without a cable needle!

Kate and Courtney met while working in a local yarn store in Philadelphia, PA; Courtney was a new mom and Kate was in her final year of grad school. Together they founded Kelbourne Woolens at Kate's kitchen table, and have been working side by side ever since.
