New Free Pattern: Llumeneres Hat!

When we received the new colors of Andorra this season, I saw the deep navy and immediately fell in love.

I had always wanted to knit my Seathwaite hat in a smaller gauge with a slouchier fit, and with the release of the new colors and Small Business Saturday just around the corner, it seemed like the perfect time to do just that!

Llumeneres is a classic hat with a ribbed brim and intricate all over cable pattern. Integrated decreases shape the crown, and the added length allows for a folded brim and classic fitted hat or unfolded brim and slouchier fit.

The free pattern is our gift to you this season in appreciation for your support and enthusiasm this past year. Here’s to many, many more!

Designer Feature: Yoked Pullover by Norah Gaughan / Vogue Early Fall 2018

When Lori from Vogue came into our booth at TNNA and said "come with me! I have to show you something!", I had no idea what to expect. We went over to their booth and - blammo! - she excitedly presented me with the Early Fall issue of Vogue Knitting with this spectacular design, the Yoked Pullover by Norah Gaughan, on the cover.

Courtney was still in the hospital after giving birth to baby Gilda, but that didn't stop me from taking photos of the design and excitedly texting them to her!

From the issue:

"The lower edge of Gaughan's body-hugging pullover is worked in a cable and twisted rib pattern back and forth in two pieces before being joined and worked in the round...German short rows shape the back neck; a twisted stitch diamond cable pattern is worked with decreases up the to the twisted-rib collar."

Worked in Andorra in sunshine yellow, a vintage-inspired deep yellow, the design is the perfect combination of classic and vintage. The small details such as the split hem, integrated yoke decreases and short rows make it a fun knit with a spectacular finished result. (And you all know how much I love a turtleneck!)
