Kelbourne Woolens is on the move!

After taking time off in 2012 after a heavy {and exhausting!} travel schedule celebrating the release of Vintage Modern Knits, we're happy to be able to add some exciting event dates to our calendar this spring!

Our first trip brings us to Washington state to attend VK Live and teach two classes on April 4th at Serial Knitters in Kirkland: a lace + charts class featuring the Springtime Bandit, and a colorwork class featuring Selbu Modern.

On Saturday the 6th, we'll be hanging out at the show, moonlighting in some of the booths that feature Fibre Company yarns, and even signing a book or two! To sign up for the classes, call Serial Knitters at 425.242.0086.

Then, two weeks later, April 19th-21st, we'll be traveling closer to home to a wonderful Fiber Arts Retreat + Market hosted by the Yarn Cupboard in Syracuse, NY. Over the course of a fiber-filled weekend, we will be teaching Bohus Knitting, the Roositud inlay and an in-depth workshop on an introduction to Cables + Arans.

To see the full class schedule and descriptions, check out the retreat page here. To register or obtain more information, call the shop at 315-399-5148 or email retreat {at} yarncupboard {dot} com.

And, finally, May finds us back west for an exciting workshop and event at Fancy Tiger in Denver, CO. On Saturday May 25th, we will be teaching a lace + chart class featuring Springtime Bandit, and in the afternoon we'll do a meet + greet and book signing.

To register for the class at Fancy Tiger, call the shop at 303.733.3855.

See you there!

Kelbourne Woolens Trunk Shows

An 'unofficial' part of the Kelbourne Woolens / Fibre Company patterns and yarns, we have been sending out trunk shows since the start of the distribution in 2008 to stockists of the Fibre Company yarns. This year, though, we're taking it to the next level and organized three trunk shows to support our growing pattern lines! There are three trunk shows in rotation, each spending three weeks at a LYS a a time beginning at the first of the month.

The "Best Of" show features a collection of the most popular free and for sale Kelbourne Woolens Patterns. You can look forward to seeing the Springtime Bandit, Selbu Modern and the Perrin Cardigan among many others.

The "New + Noteworthy" show is a constantly evolving collection of the newest Kelbourne Woolens Patterns. The Grey Skies Handwarmers, Fargo Pullover and the Fable Cardigan are just some of the sure-to-be classics featured in this trunk show.

And last but not least, the Vintage Modern Knits show is a collection of all of the samples from - you guessed it! - Vintage Modern Knits. The show includes samples of the Brigid Jacket, Adelaide Pullover and Yvette Roositud Hat.

For an ever-growing list of the shops who will have the trunk shows and when, visit our new trunk show page on the Kelbourne Woolens website here!

Kelbourne Woolens + Vogue Knitting Live!

We're gearing up (or, in other words "running around frantically tying up all loose ends and making a million lists") in preparation for our trip to Los Angeles for Vogue Knitting Live LA! We had a wonderful time at the NY event this past January, and are really excited to be headed to the west coast for another yarn-filled weekend.

Our the fun begins on Thursday from 6:30-9pm when we - along with other fabulous designers and "yarnies" - will be at Unwind in Burbank, CA for a VK Live Launch party. We will be signing books, have samples from Vintage Modern Knits, and there will be a large selection of Fibre Company yarns for you to choose from. To find out more info about the event, and to register, click {HERE}.

Then, on Friday + Saturday, we'll be at the show, where we have some special events planned, including another book signing on Saturday at booths 81+ 82 at 2 pm, and a Roositud Demonstration from 3:30-4pm. If you've been eyeing the Yvette Beret from Vintage Modern Knits but want a little more info on the technique, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn first-hand.

A few really great shops will be there carrying our yarns, including Knit Culture Studio, Green Sheep Shop + Unwind, so we also plan on wandering around a lot, possibly helping in the booths and chatting it up with our fantastic customers. See you there!
