Swatching: Riverside Pullover

Remember our post about Courtney’s Riverside Pullover from a couple of weeks ago? I think its bananas in all the right ways. Once I saw it, I couldn’t wait to cast on my own Riverside in my own colors.

As has been stated several times before, over the years, I like warm colors, especially pinks, oranges, and peaches. I just can’t get enough of them. So, when Courtney showed us her crazy fun colorwork pullover, I know I wanted to give it the Meghan K treatment. The whole team weighed in on choosing the palette and these are the colors we came up with: Salmon 667, Honey 708, Peacock 440, and Baby Pink 687 with Germantown natural 105 as the main color.

I’m not super experienced with colorwork, having finished my first colorwork yoked sweater just last winter, so I felt that it was important to practice a bit before diving in. This long swatch-in-the-round also gave me a chance to play around with some different color combinations.

After knitting the chart once, I went back and re-worked some of the chart in different color combinations to see what read better.
