We love to spin a good yarn - both proverbially and literally - and in the case of our newest yarn, Lucky Tweed, we achieved both! Several months ago, after a long day of going back and forth over potential yarn names ranging from beautiful Gaelic to the utterly ridiculous, we took a walk down to our local watering hole, Lucky’s Last Chance, for burgers, beer, and camaraderie. We sat down, ordered, and Meghan B suddenly exclaimed, “Ah! Let’s call it Lucky!” It was so simple and on-the-nose perfect we all erupted into laughter; and so, Lucky Tweed was born with a name that evokes both Irish folklore and Philly’s historic roots and unbreakable spirit.

Lucky Tweed is a soft and cozy woolen spun, aran weight, authentic tweed, made by our friends in Donegal, Ireland. We came up with 12 colors originally and added our custom golden yellow as lucky number 13. Our Lucky color palette gives us all the good fall feels with rich, saturated colors and cool neutrals for cables that pop, visually satisfying expanses of stockinette stitch, and eye catching color work.
We hope you love our Lucky Tweed as much as we do. Find all the colors and our stockists for Lucky Tweed here and get fall knitting!
