The Riverside Pullover by Courtney Kelley

It doesn’t matter how many times it’s happened—seeing a new design in print is a thrill. It’s even more of a thrill when a new design makes it onto the cover!

Courtney’s newest design, the Riverside Pullover, is on the cover of knitscene Fall 2019. This color work and cables extravaganza is made in our favorite worsted weight yarn, Germantown. Her design is a knitter’s delight—the circular yoke pullover is worked top-down in the round and flows from pleasingly graphic color work into rope cables on the lower body. Riverside’s nostalgic, 80s-inspired design arrived just in time for the Stranger Things 3 premiere this July 4th weekend and now all of us are itching to cast on one of our own - but which colors to choose in Germantown? There are so many options!

This issue of knitscene is water-themed inspiring Courtney’s soothing aquatic color palette of natural, pebble, jade, sage, and navy.

Are you making or plan to make a Riverside Pullover of your own? Stay tuned for more color combo ideas in the following weeks!
