Ninth Annual Pro-Verbial Yarn Club

I have something a little bit different for you today - an announcement of the opening of the Verb for Keeping Warm Pro-Verbial Shawl Club! Courtney and I are excited to be on the team of designers featured in the club this year. And quite the lineup it is: Courtney and I are designing along with Amy Christoffers, Nancy Marchant, and Caitlin Hunter. Courtney and I will be working together on the design, and we have some really fun ideas up our sleeves! We have been friends, fans, and worked with Kristine, Adrianne, and the staff at AVFKW since 2011 when we visited the shop in Oakland. The wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and excitement they all feel for textiles, craft, and supporting small businesses is inspiring and infectious. The club runs throughout the year and features 4 seasonal shipments on October 15th, January 15th, April 15th, and July 15th. Each shipment includes an exclusively dyed colorways of an A Verb For Keeping Warm yarn, dyer's notes, and a special code to add the pattern to your Ravelry library. In order to keep things exciting, the specific dates and yarns are still a secret, but we have some really fun ideas we're working on, including a custom yarn created in conjunction with Sarah and Kristine made specifically with this club in mind - more on that at a later date! There have been some stellar designs created for the club in years past, including the Ara Shawl by Andrea Mowry, Linnet Bird by Bristol Ivy, Chatoyant by Grace Anna Farrow, and Änaise Shawl by Carrie Bostick Hoge. We're delighted to be able to be a part of such a wonderful collection. You can read more details sign up for the club on their website here!
