I was wearing my crocheted earrings the other day and despite the pair seeing heavy rotation in my wardrobe, I realized I never “officially” shared my finished project here on the blog. The start of Crochet Summer seemed like the perfect time to do so, so I asked Linette to take some quick shots of me outside the office.
The pattern, Drop Earrings #2 by Nez Jewelry, was really easy to follow, and the end result has a lot of visual impact. The crisp nature of The Fibre Co. Meadow makes for earrings with nice structure and drape. I get a ton of compliments on the earrings when I wear them, too, which is a bonus!
Despite the really intricate nature of the design, the earrings were actually quite easy to make. I would definitely recommend them for someone looking to expand their skills a little bit without a lot of time or effort.
L / Heart me Jewel by Ana D. R / Pearl Shell Top by Ana D.
I’m going on vacation next week and just purchased the Heart Me Jewel pattern from another crochet designer, Ana D, and hope to work up that pair in one of the bright colors of meadow, possibly Cosmos. It took a lot of willpower to not fall down a rabbit hole and waste the rest of the afternoon looking at Anna D’s designs – she has some great crochet garments and accessories like the Pearl Shell Top pictured above. I am also really intrigued by the way this adorable Let it Snow hat is made!
