Back in November, I was lucky enough to attend VK Live in Minneapolis as a teacher. It was a wonderful time, and in anticipation I participated in the Vogue Fall Knit-Along and knit Gudrun Johnston’s Fair Isle Cowl from the Fall 2016 issue of Vogue Knitting.
I tried furiously to get it knit before the event, and I nearly finished it on the flight to Minneapolis, but didn’t quite get it done in time! I used the yarn the pattern called for, The Fibre Co. Acadia, in the colors Thunder Bay, Rosebay, and Sand.
Upon returning home, I did continue to work on it and finished it in time to gift it to my mom for Christmas this year. Somehow, I managed not to take a single picture this year when we opened presents, so I can’t show you how excited she was to receive it. Suffice to say, it was a hit. Everyone loves a cowl, especially one knit in The Fibre Co. yarn!
