Color Stories: Golden October

It’s been a warm autumn on the East Coast, but it’s starting to get chilly at night. For this month’s color story, I tried to think of cool/warm juxtapositions; lava pouring into the Icelandic ocean, sipping on sherry with dessert, and walking in the warm sunshine in a field on a nippy day. Of course, animals always make the cut, because being adorable is always inspiration enough.

Soft shades of grey, ecru, and brown make great neutral wardrobe staples, while a pop of color, like Turmeric, will brighten up an outfit.

This sweater,  Madam Secretary by Carol Sunday, uses 1310 – 1930 yards of worsted weight yarn and would be stunning in Canopy Worsted. It is the perfect fall cardigan – slouchy, flattering, and would look great with your favorite jeans and a cute hat while out exploring an amazing black sand beach.

I’m pretty sure I’d make mine in Lemur. What color would you choose?
