September Mittens Tips + Tricks: Lace Cuff and Perfect Bobbles

As mentioned in Thursday's post announcing the September Mitten, we have four tips and tricks related to the pattern that you might find helpful. Two are brand new, created specifically for the mitten release!

The September Mitten begins with a unique lace cuff that is knit horizontally on two DPNs. This tutorial shows the step by step instructions on joining the cuff in the round and picking up the stitches to work the hand.

The mitten also features decorative bobbles on the hand. We have a photo tutorial for you on how to work the bobbles here.

The other two tutorials mentioned in the pattern are previously existing, but still incredibly useful:
picking up stitches from waste yarn
working lace patterns from charts

It is also worth noting a few pesky errata snuck into the pattern and didn't get caught in the final edits:
1) The edging pattern should be 8 rows, and has been updated in V2 of the pattern.
2) The ssk and k2tog symbols were swapped in the chart key
3) There were two extraneous yarn overs on Row 69 of the hand charts.

You should have received notifications via email about the updates and a corrected version of the pattern is ready for download. Apologies for these errors - if we could be perfect robots who never made a single mistake, we would!
