Although we released The Fibre Co. Acadia in 2011, we never dedicated a collection specifically to it. This summer we knew that had to change, and set to work putting together a collection with the unique beauty of the yarn as the focus.
One of the distinctive aspects of Acadia is the four undyed colors created using shaded of alpaca paired with the naturally colored merino and silk. From cream white egret to heathered charcoal mountain ash, the four colors look as gorgeous together as they do apart. Using them as our jumping off point, we took a little departure from our more traditional technique-heavy designs, and focused on simplicity and effortless wearability for the Acadia Collection. These are wardrobe staples; classic shapes, classic techniques, and perfect for every knitter’s wardrobe.
