Designer Feature: Comfy Drop Shoulder Sweater by Megan Goodacre

Way back on 2012, Megan Goodacre published Boiseau, a stunning wrap designed using The Fibre Co. Acadia. (You can see our original post on that here.)

Over the course of the last year, she wrote and published a new book, Idiot’s Guides: Knitting Sweaters. Included is a wealth of information on knitting successful garments in a variety of sizes and shapes, and 20 patterns from wee baby garments to classic menswear.

Megan designed the Comfy Drop Shoulder Sweater using The Fibre Co. Acadia, playing on the gorgeous drape and lovely fabric the yarn creates in Stockinette stitch to create a comfortable and flattering pullover that is easy to execute for newer and accomplished sweater knitters alike.

From Megan:
“Even with a skill rating of 1 out of 5, this is a very elegant sweater. One of the most basic types of sweaters, the drop shoulder, is transformed into a stylish, silky pullover you could throw on over a pair of leggings or a fitted skirt. The roomy body has a dropped back hem for a flattering line at the hip, and the fitted sleeves keep it from being too boxy.”
