September 7th marked the final day of Crochet Summer 2015 and today scores of kids here in Philadelphia begin another year of school. We loved watching the progress of everyone’s summertime crochet projects on Instagram, as always, we look forward to next summer!
Here are some of our favorite pics, and you can see more by searching #crochetsummer2015 on Instagram!
Miriam Felton and Natalie Selles rocked the hexi crochet this summer!
Christa Wissler’s free form crochet was incredibly inspiring. Crochet is the perfect medium for working free form, and her garments are proof of that!
Cleo Malone’s simple granny triangle cowl is perfect for our Canopy Fingering yarn, and she just published the free pattern. Nice work, Cleo!
Betsey Sennot has one of the most inspirational crochet Instagram accounts, and she is proof that you can never have too many swatches! She started the hashtag #52weeksofswatches, truly a project after our own hearts!
Joanne Scrace and Karen Peacock rocked the poncho this summer, a trend that is totally on point for fall!
Finally, the Sea Glass Shawls of Alisa McRonald and Cal Patch. Of all the projects this summer, this is the design I’m having the most hook envy over. There’s always next summer…
We hope you enjoyed hooking with us, and we’ll do it all again next summer for #crochetsummer2016! – CK
Its been so fun seeing all the crochet this summer; love that you highlight crochet! And thanks for the mention too. Betsey
