The latest issue of Knitscene just arrived on our doorstep and it features my first editorial design, the Argentan Pullover!
I’ve always been drawn to simple yet effective, design elements and Argentan is one of my favorite designs thus far!
The lines of brioche and baby cables create a vertical stripe to emphasize the split hem and drop shoulder seam line. It’s a great sweater project for those interested in brioche but may be intimidated by the technique. To accentuate the brioche side seams the main body is worked in reverse Stockinette stitch and finished with a shallow scoop neck.
For Argentan I knew the sheen and drape of The Fibre Co. Organik was the perfect choice for this sweater. Add the subtle duotone of Majestic and I was sold! However, if I were to knit Argentan for myself, I would chose one of the four colors below.
The latest issue of Knitscene is on newstands now (unless my mom hasn’t bought every copy)! Click here for more information on the latest issue of Knitscene and here to view the projects on Ravelry. -LM
