The latest issue of knit.purl (fka knit.wear) hits newsstands next week. As you have come to expect from the magazine, it is filled with classic pieces with simple silhouettes and unique details.
The “Making Waves” collection showcases 6 designs that utilize the feather and fan pattern in unique ways. In the Meandering Top by Quenna Lee featuring Savannah in bluegrass, the lace panel is worked at an angle due to the use of short row shaping. The same lace patterning frames the neckline,a nd the black is plain and shaped by a row of decreases that creates a blousy effect.

Yarn: Savannah DK (50% wool, 20% cotton, 15% linen, 15% soya; 160 yd 146 m/1¾ oz 50 g): bluegrass, 4 (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins. Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
