INDEPENDENT DESIGNER FEATURE: MADDER ANTHOLOGY 2: SIMPLE PLEASURES, PART 2

By Meghan Kelly on January 15, 2015October 8, 2020

Yesterday, we featured the accessories in the new collection by Carrie Bostick Hoge, Anthology 2: Simple Pleasures that use The Fibre Company yarns, and today we’re delighted to share the garments with you!

CHARLOTTE LIGHT CARDIGAN:

Using the two elements of the Charlotte sub-collection, garter and ribbing, the Charlotte Light Cardigan is a lovely – and warm! – layering piece in Road to China Light.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Sizes: 32¾ (35¾, 38½, 41½, 44¼, 48, 51, 54½, 57½)”, bust circumference, buttoned
Yarn: 8 (8, 9, 10, 10, 11, 12, 12, 13) skeins Road to China Light in Hematite
Needles: One 32” circular needle (circ) in size US 5 3.75 mm.One set of double-pointed needles (dpns) in size US 5 3.75 mm. (Or size to obtain gauge).
Gauge: 22 sts and 44 rows = 4” in garter stitch, blocked.

LIV CARDIGAN:

You may recognize Liv from a previous release by Carrie. This time, she’s worked the design in Canopy Worsted in Obsidian for a go-with-everything, effortless look. (I pretty much want to wear the whole outfit, all day, every day).

SPECIFICATIONS:
Sizes: 30¼ (33¾, 37¼, 41, 44½, 48, 51½, 54¼, 57¾)” [77 (86, 94.5, 104, 113, 122, 131, 138, 146.5) cm] at bust.
Yarn: 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins Canopy Worsted in Quetzal
Needles: One 16” and 32” circular or longer in sizes US 6 and 7 4 and 4.5 mm. One set of double-pointed needles in sizes US 6 and 7 4 and 4.5 mm. (Or size to obtain gauge).
Gauge: 18 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch with larger needle.

LUCINDA:

Reverse stockinette takes center stage in Lucinda, and paired with the slubby 2-ply of Acadia, and the boxy shape that is everywhere right now, this sweater is a winner on all fronts.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Sizes: 37¼ (40¼, 44, 47¾, 51¼, 54¼, 58, 61¾, 64¾, 68½)” bust circumference
Yarn: Acadia in Oyster.

4 mm. One set of double-pointed needles dpns in size US 4 and 5 3.5 and 3.75 mm. (Or size to obtain gauge)
