With June coming to an end (wait, wasn’t it just March?) some of our favorite magazines are releasing their fall issues and I’m already queueing up a storm. Despite the array of sweaters featured in the Fall preview of Knitscene, I can’t bring myself to knit an entire sweater for fall just yet. Throughout the summer months, I find myself casting on more accessory projects; this summer I’ve been obsessed with hats in particular. They’re compact and easy to take along for an of afternoon sitting in the park or a day trip to the beach. Plus they can range from simple to intricate – need I say more? So when I saw the Dauphine Hat by Julia Farwell-Clay in the Fall issue of Knitscene I immediately queued it for my summertime hat obsession.
Featuring Savannah in Cabernet, the Dauphine Hat calls for one skein of this merino wool, cotton, linen and soya mix – perfect for stash-busting! An added bonus is the lovely crown decreases Julia incorporates to this cap.
The fall issue of Knitscene hits stands July 15th, but you can preview the entire magazine, here.
