Calling all knitters, dreamers, wanderers and adventurers! We want to know: where does your knitting take you? Do you knit in the morning while you drink coffee or is it the thing you look forward to for winding down at the end of the day? Do you have a piece tucked in your bag at all times for every spare moment of stitching? What adventures do you have with your needles in hand?
To celebrate the arrival of Tundra: Elements, (currently in the warehouse and making its way to a LYS near you!) a choose-your-own-adventure sweater collection, we want you to become a part of the Kelbourne Woolens Adventure Club! For 4 weeks, we’ll knit together, challenging ourselves to pick up the needles everyday. We’ll celebrate the process of the craft and document the progress. We’re going on a knitting journey!
The Mission:
WHAT: The Tundra: Elements pattern of your choice
WHEN: Starting Monday, October 7th and ending November 3rd.
WHERE: Everywhere! We’ll be posting a list a prompts to inspire and challenge you. Take a picture of your work-in-progress and post it to Instagram with the hashtag #KWAC
THE REWARD: At the end of each week, we’ll award merit badges to the knitters who have participated in every challenge of the past seven day. At the end of the challenge, the knitters who have collected all four merit badges will be eligible to WIN the grand adventure pack prize!
You may finish your sweater in those 28 days, or you may not. And that’s okay! This knit-along challenge is about the process. It’s about showing up and taking part, where ever you wind up along the way. Whether you forge straight through to the end or double back to re-explore a familiar path, we’re here to cheer you on!
Start gathering your supplies, knitters! Stay tuned next week for more info – It’s time to go on an adventure!
This is very exciting! What if it doesn’t take the whole month to knit the sweater? Then one would not have 4 weeks of WIP pics to share. Thanks!
Are there certain patterns that we can choose from, if so, where can I see them?
Darn! I’m so sad that I missed this challenge.
