Knitter Projects: Glashutte Hat

The Glashutte Hat designed by Kate Gagnon Osborn and published in Weekend Hats by Melissa LaBarre and Cecily Glowik MacDonald is not for the faint of heart. Knit using Road to China Light on small needles, pretty much every row has multiple cable crosses and the design travels and winds over the body of the hat. The end result, though, is a beautiful and intricate finished product with a lot of texture and visual appeal, well worth the effort.

Sarah knit her gorgeous Glashutte Hat out of Canopy Fingering in Fern, a bright springy mint green.

You can almost feel the softness and texture of the cables looking at these lovely photos. Beautiful knitting, Sarah!
