The new winter knitty is up – this time split into two issues! – and this first issue features the Groove Scarf by Stephen West {web link} {rav link} featuring two colors of Acadia, Driftwood and Kelp, is a total winner!
Groove is a garter and cable scarf, shaped using yarnovers paired next to the slipped stitch columns that form the cables. The yarnovers at the shawl’s edge used to help shape the arch serve a dual purpose as buttonholes, allowing you to wrap and attach the scarf in a multitude of ways.

• Finished Size: 11″ length along center edge, 86″ wide along bind off edge.
• Yarn: Acadia, Driftwood, 2 skeins + Asparagus, 2 skeins.
• Gauge: 18 sts/40 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch
• Needle: 1 – 40-inch US #6/4mm circular needle
• Notions: 18 stitch markers, cable needle, 7 – 1.5″ buttons
