So now that you’ve knit a few tea cosies and some beautiful heirloom tea towels, of course you are going to need some handmade stockings! Good thing we have just the design for you.
The Holly Berry Stocking, (Interweave Link) + (Ravelry Link), designed by Kate and featured in the Interweave Knits Holiday Gifts special issue, was originally knit and designed for the son of Kate’s good friend, Betsy.

For this version, Kate knit the stocking out of Canopy Worsted in slightly “non traditional” holiday colors with a classic snowflake and heart pattern at the cuff, two row stripes for the “leg” and “foot” of the stocking and toe and heel in the contrast color. An attached i-cord at the top adds stability, a clean finish and a hook for hanging.
The year “2010” is knit on one side of the stocking, but we could also see the recipient’s name here as well for a more personalized touch.
Ravel It!

So that’s it! We hope you liked this little trilogy of holiday themed knitting, Kelbourne Woolens + Fibre Company style.
