Armed with a few skeins of Terra, the set-up chart for the Springtime in Philadelphia beret and a plane flight to CA for TNNA in January, Kate started playing around with the idea of converting the circular beret into a triangle.
The combination of modern yarn that is butter soft but has a slightly rustic look due to the textural silk slubs, a traditionally inspired triangular shawl on large needles in a heavier weight yarn and gorgeous color creates a scarf that is perfect for the unpredictability of the changing seasons.
The Springtime Bandit is knit at a gauge just slightly looser than recommended for Terra to give it drape and an airy feel. And even though it is squarely in the scarf category for size, the end result is airy and light.

[…] I’m hoping the yarn for Otto arrives tomorrow so I can get started on him again. I’m hoping he’s not going to take me ages, because he has to be ready for Christmas. In the meantime, I’m resisting the urge to cast on for Springtime Bandit […]
Made a half dozen in different colors. Love the look, texture and ease of completion. A perfect take it with you project.
